If last week's newsletter was the emotional underpinnings of learning to play an instrument, I hope this week’s can be the nuts and bolts.

And I have plenty to share! In the depths of my discouragement around June’s reluctance to practice piano, I sought advice from people I trust — and found lots of it. Some of it was helpful, while other suggestions just didn’t seem to make a difference. Slowly, with trial and error, we found tips and tweaks that are working for us. Today, I’m going to share it all — the received and the hard-won — because I hope even what didn’t work for us might work for you.

Let’s do it!

Good advice we received that did not make a difference for us (but maybe will for you):
