A day in the life of The Connected Family
The winter, workday edition with a 10-, 7-, and 4-year-old
I have another day-in-the-life for you today, and I think it’s a pretty good one! It’s got being the village, it’s got needing the village, low-key activities, mid-day reading, time with friends… all the good stuff, and plenty more besides, ha.
I really enjoy sharing these peeks into our days twice a year, and it seems you all enjoy reading them. I did want to suggest a slight twist for the next one, though — what would you think about a week-in-the-life instead? My thought is that I’d be able to offer a more comprehensive picture of how we make time for priorities that, even if important, might not fit into every day but always fit into a week. We’d sacrifice some of the fine detail of a daily journal, but the broader view might be worth it.
7:30am My watch alarm vibrates. I do not get up, but I appreciate the gentle nudge that morning is coming.
