A day in the life of The Connected Family
The winter weekday workday edition with a 9-, 6-, and 3-year-old
Here we are again!
I write day-in-the-life posts not because I think my life is particularly extraordinary or inspiring (as you’ll see below, I got out of bed after 8am on this particular day and I’m not sure who’s looking to emulate that), but because, when shared by others, they’ve been such an opportunity for learning in my own life. I enjoy getting a peek at how others shape their days and have made countless tiny tweaks based on these glimpses. Most have served me and my family well (and many are woven into the day below!). Even if you don’t choose to adopt my morning routine, I hope there’s something here for you :)
While I loved sharing day-in-the-life posts once a season last year (and, according to the survey, you all enjoyed them, too!) I’m thinking of switching things up in 2025 and alternating DITL posts with something new — a podcast-style AMA with John.1 If you’d like to submit a question — about kids, tech, marriage, traditions, school, books, whatever you’d like! — you can do so right here. We’ll reply to as many as we can in a few weeks!
