We love playing games too! Thank you for all these recommendations. Sleeping Queens and Outfoxed have been hits with my 5.5 year old and Snug as a Bug is a particular hit with my 3.5 year old.
Yes - board game people are the BEST people! <3 I grew up in a trivia centric board game family (also a big cards family) and my husband grew up in a strategy centric board game family so my kids get the best of both worlds (ha!). In addition to many on your list (Catan Jr. is a hands down favorite in our house and my 4 year old is surprisingly good at beating all of us at it and my oldest could play Ticket to Ride daily) we also love Outfoxed, Qwirkle, Qwixx (which also doubles as a great throw in your purse for restaurants game), and forever and ever Uno which is such a great all ages game and another good one for on the go.
Love this post! Board game people really are the best. We also enjoy Catan Jr., Ticket to Ride, Outfoxed, Qwirkle, Qwixx, and Uno in our family. Such a great way to bond and have fun together! <3
My sister and BIL introduced me to Splendor and it’s a fun one! As a strategy game, it’s probably a little too advanced for the kiddos. I also love Sequence and we have the kids version of Sequence, which is better for them!
I’ve never played Mancala. It’s going on the list!
Yes I love board games and board game people are my people. My son at 7 isn’t that into board games yet but it might be just the younger games so I will keep trying! You have listed some favorites of mine! Funny fact nobody in my family will play me in Bananagrams because I beat them every time so sadly I no longer play that one lol. We like Guess Who and Clue Junior and The Allowance Game as well as Sleeping Queens and The Bears and the Bees.
Oh! And So Clover is our new favorite couple/adult game. I think slightly older kids can play too. My 11 year old loves it, 9 year old finds it frustrating/boring
Love a game night! May I suggest shifting Rummikub to the ready for current play pile. Ryan taught Henry over the past year and I'm sorry to confess he is probably only a few months away from beating me on his own in this one :)
We love zingo and outfoxed! Outfoxed is a game where everyone is playing together which is fun. We also enjoy the old classic, sorry!
Oh yes, Outfoxed is great!
We love these too! We also like the game bonanza, which we bought for me and my husband, but which my almost five-year-old loves too!

We got Uno Flip for Christmas, and I have to say I think I prefer original Uno! The Flip version just feels unnecessarily complicated, ha!

Ooh I love Splendor!
Thanks for the game recommendations! I’ll have to check out Mancala!

Ooh yes, Sleeping Queens is a great one!
I have been enjoying playing cribbage with my 10 year old. Some luck, some strategy and lots of simple math.
Yes! Cribbage is great! June learned how to play last year with my Dad ❤️
We love to play sequence, close the box, Mantis, and sleeping queens.
Some new ones for me!
